Our Background

Image of a Caravan to Class project sign outside the village of Tedeini near Timbuktu, Mali Caravan to Class began in 2010 with a commitment to the village of Tedeini, outside of Timbuktu, Mali (learn more) to completely rebuild their educational infrastructure. Within a short period of time and helped by a diverse community of supporters, we were able to not just rebuild the school, but also bring hope to the entire village. Inspired by seeing the children engaged and learning in their new school, we are building our capacity and outreach to replicate our efforts to educate other worthy children in the surrounding villages. We seek to engage you, as donor, partner, foundation or supporter, to help us further our work.

Future Projects

As we reach our objectives of getting each child in a particular village, in school, and measuring the learning taking place there, we plan to expand our activities into additional areas in Mali and throughout Africa. In doing this, we’ll follow our success model of partnering with local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in each area, engaging the local Ministry of Education, and ensuring that leaders of villages will work with us to have positive impact on the lives of the children we serve.
